Solano Community College (SCC) Contract Training Program
SCC’s Office of Contract and Workforce Training partners with local business to develop training programs to meet companies’ immediate workforce training needs. Training is available in a variety of fields, from hazardous substance management to customer service to microcomputer applications and more. The Office of Contract and Workforce Training offers:
- A free assessment to identify training needs.
- Customized solutions tailored to your business and employees.
- Training designed to fit your schedule.
- Excellent and appropriate instruction, with functional experts at your disposal.

- Cost effective training and services.
State of California Employment Traning Panel
The State of California Employment Training Panel was designed to fund
training that meets the needs of employers for skilled workers and the needs
of workers for good, long-term jobs. This employer-supported program trains
new workers and retrains workers in danger of being laid off as a result of
technological advancements in the workplace, and because of foreign and
domestic competition. ETP has paid over $850 million in training funds since
its inception, with close to 600,000 California workers trained. In
general, companies are eligible to apply for ETP funding provided they are
paying into the state's Employment Training Fund (ETF) and
- Are hiring and training unemployed workers who are receiving
unemployment insurance (UI) benefits; and\or
- Face Out-of-State competition and need to retrain current employees;and\or
- Have special, unique training programs in all Special EmploymentTraining (SET) categories.
