Business Update

Two hotels in Green Valley Corporate Park will soon open their doors to patrons. Homewood Suites is a four-story, 85-unit, 74,051- square foot Hilton product. Staybridge Suites is a three-story, 82-unit, 66,709-square foot InterContinental product. Both hotels, located on Business Center Drive, offer meeting rooms, pools, exercise rooms, business centers and other amenities. These hotels cater to guests on an extended stay, offering kitchen facilities, breakfast and evening meals, and high speed internet.

CLP Resources Inc., a North Texas Street business, matches construction companies with trades and maintenance people for both short and long-term positions. The Fairfield office was established in 2004 as a satellite office, but due to the economic growth of Solano County, began full-time operations this year. The trades CLP offers include carpentry, electrical, drywall, painting, plumbing and skilled labor. For information, contact the Fairfield Branch at (707) 438-3202.

Stephen and Cathlene Milton have debuted StepCat Productions, a fine arts company that performs theatrical productions. StepCat also develops dance troops and has a wide variety of costumes for rent. The company has produced one sold out talent showcase. The dance groups have performed all over Northern California. The company plans to open a costume rental store in Fairfield mid-summer.   • Minor Discretionary Review for tenant improvements to the former 24-Hour Fitness for a Grocery Outlet, at 200 Travis Blvd.
  • Conceptual Review of a 41-unit subdivision on 2.8 acres, located at 212 East Tabor Ave.
  • Conceptual Review of a 16-unit subdivision on 1.06 acres, located at 690 East Tabor.
  • Conceptual Review to divide a 7,500-square foot parcel into two and construct a duplex on one parcel, located at 1238 Illinois Street.
  • Conceptual Review of an 8- unit industrial building at 2600 Industrial Drive.
  • Conceptual Review of a new building for Canova Building & Storage, 1336 Woolner.
  • Conceptual Review of a Master Plan for a mix of Residential, Commercial, and Industrial uses on 412 acres west of Peabody Road, near the intersection of Cement Hill Road and Portland Drive and near McCoy Basin. The project is primarily residential, with 739 units in two areas, including 28 retail/residential live-work units. The two areas are bisected by the future Walters Road extension. The area is impacted with significant environmental factors.
  • Minor Development Review for the relocation of the existing auto auction from its current location on Auto Plaza Court to the vacant Primesource site at 250 Dittmer Rd.
  • Minor Development Review Extension for two two-story buildings on three vacant parcels totaling 17,689 square feet, located at 145 Commerce Court.
  • Parcel Map to create condominiums at the Village Retail Center located on the northwest corner of East Travis and Sunset.
  • Parcel Map to create condominiums at the Pony Express Business Park located at 4610 West America Drive.
  • Minor Development Review and Use Permit to construct an 8,450-square foot onestory retail building on a 1.28-acre parcel located on the south side of Mangels Blvd, east of Green Valley Rd, at 4795 Business Center Drive.
